TimeBanks are at the center of a dynamic movement to preserve families, rebuild communities, affect systemic change, and promote transformation around the world.
The focus of TBUSA’s work is to continue the spread of TimeBanking, especially for populations who struggle in today’s economy. To that end, we help organizations and communities explore and set up TimeBanking as a tool to achieve purpose and mission by putting the core values into practice.
Affiliate TimeBanks are members of an informal TBUSA network. While there is no formal membership, we do invite TimeBanks in the network to contribute to the learning of others. TBUSA holds regular calls for TimeBank leaders to share their knowledge, and works with TimeBank leaders nationwide and internationally to expand the practice of TimeBanking.
We provide Community Weaver 2.1, an open source software developed on Drupal as a tool that TimeBanks can use to support and keep track of their membership and member activities. Visit the the TimeBanks Sandbox and test out community weaver 2.1 as a TimeBank member.
The fees for Community Weaver are determined by level of use. Please see Dues
To set up a Community Weaver website for your TimeBank please complete the online application and submit the signed TBUSA Use Agreement, go to Start a New Timebank.
After you fill out your application and “sign” the TimeBank use agreement for Community Weaver and pay your start-up fee, the Tech Team will contact you about launching your new Community Weaver 2.1 Website.
