"For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a graphic designer. I had reached a point in my life where I accepted that this dream was never going to become a reality. That is until I found KCTB. I put up my first ad for graphic design on a whim. I was itching to make something, anything. To my surprise within a week I was working on a project for Habitat for Humanity designing an anniversary logo for their celebration. The entire experience was surreal. Here I was doing this thing that I thought was never going to become a reality. Since that first job I have designed a variety of flyers, tickets, programs and even a billboard which is currently being displayed in Akron. I've recently secured a job in the print industry due largely to my experience that I received through KCTB networking and exchanges. I feel very secure in saying that without KCTB none of this would have happened and I would still be living in a reality where I had accepted that my dream would never become a reality." - Pad Womack @ Kent Community TimeBank, Ohio https://crookedriver.timebanks.org/ . #timebankingis #community #50storiesin50days #timebanks #story #timeasmoney #makingdreamsreal Photo by Univ. of New Hampshire A post shared by TimeBanks USA (@timebanksusa) on Apr 11, 2017 at 10:02am PDT BACK NEXT
