I loved the article!!! I’ve never heard of TimeBanks until I read all about it in the AARP magazine. I’m anxious to learn more.
With the state of the economy in our country and the need for members of a community to work together, this is a brilliant concept.
I am an AARP member and read your article with great interest. The pastor at my church has been looking for a viable community mission that could involve our members and benefit our community. I had never heard of timebanks before but I was intrigued by the concept. I suggested my pastor read the article. He has ordered the start up manuals and we hope it will became a reality for our church. Thank you timebanks.org and Edgar Cahn!
As a family caregiver I was so inspired by this article. The concept of timebanking has been like pennies from heaven for me! My dad is 87 and read the article. He then passed it on to me and I have been active in our local timebank ever since. I wasted no time contacting the person in charge. Had this article not appeared in AARP I would have 10 fewer friends than I have now!! What a blessing! Thanks, Edgar Cahn!
We are so excited to be gaining new members every week! Thank you so much for this resource and the support to create a lasting and strong time bank! hOur Exchange Ypsilanti is proud to be a part of the time bank movement.
